Introducing Cassidy DePaolo and Shay Melia

Jul 15, 2026

With a joyous heart, I am writing to welcome our two newest staff members to the Fox + Feather team

In our community, the need for art therapy services is rising — and I believe more Fox Folks have found their way into our den. Today I want to introduce you to two extraordinary clinicians who have joined us: Cassidy DePaolo, MAATC, ATR-P, LPC-A and Shay Melia, MAATC, LPC-A.

Meet Cassidy DePaolo, MAATC, ATR-P, LPC-A (she/her)

Cassidy supports children and teens who are navigating mental health challenges. Many young individuals are in the process of discovering their self-identity, adjusting to significant changes at home or school, or struggling to connect with themselves and others.

Cassidy provides a compassionate and creative environment for individuals seeking to express themselves beyond words. Her client-led approach encourages clients to strengthen their inner voice, explore their curiosities, and empowers them to create and express themselves both deeply and authentically.

Cassidy is now accepting new clients, including children and adolescents ages 8 and older. If you have been looking for a skilled, caring clinician for a young person in your life, Cassidy may be exactly who you have been waiting for.

Meet Shay Melia, MAATC, LPC-A (she/her/they)

Shay has a longstanding relationship with art and creativity. She brings a background in the Fine Arts and spent over 20 years building a career in the creative space of the beauty industry. After that chapter, she dove fully into becoming a professional in the healing spaces of creative expression — and she has never looked back.

Shay has a deep respect for nature and a love of eco-arts and gardening. She also enjoys playing and composing music in addition to her visual arts practice. Her relationship with creativity is not theoretical — it is lived, embodied, and woven into everything she brings to the therapeutic space.

Shay is now accepting new clients across our art therapy services.

A Note from Sarah

Growing our team is an act of deep trust. Over the years, I have met — and interviewed — a wide variety of creative arts professionals. It takes a certain magick to be welcomed into our Fox + Feather community.

Cassidy and Shay both have the glimmer. Which made it a very easy yes.

With every new hire, the alchemical process begins anew. New professionals bring new insights, new wisdom, new ways of being present with the people who walk through our door. If you or someone you love has been waiting for the right person, the right moment, the right door — this may be it.

Welcome to the Fox + Feather family, Cassidy and Shay. We can’t wait to learn alongside you.

— Sarah Guercia, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, Founder + Owner
